As I walked down the hall at work this morning, I passed a TV playing CNN. There was a close-up of a woman's face as she struggled to get her words out through sobs and tears. The caption read: "Pet monkey confiscated." I kept walking.

Finn turned 4 on Saturday and had a costume party with a few friends to celebrate. Here are some photos:

Turns out Finn's goal-scoring, assist making spree in his 2nd soccer game wasn't a fluke. Grandma and Grandpa B, Aunt Robin, Lisa, Elliot, and I got to watch him put on another show Saturday morning. Here's a few photos and videos. Unfortunately, they tend to be a little blurry. Finn is pretty cute...especially the second video where he scores a goal and then skips down the field while waving to the crowd. Also, I need to learn to keep my mouth shut when recording these videos. I sound so lame yelling "Run!", "Pass it!", etc.

Sunday afternoon we continued the Star Wars film series with The Phantom Menace. The kids were especially eager to see Darth Maul.

• Wide Awake, Wed 8 PM, HBO: portrait of an artist as insomniac
• Married in America 2, Wed 9 PM, Hallmark Channel: candid look at couples and relationships
• John Safran vs. God, Thu 9 PM, Sundance Channel: a series in which a satirical documentarian encounters various religions
• Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, Sun 9 PM, HBO: see Fred Thompson as Ulysses S. Grant
