Spare the Rock

For the music fans out there who have kids, check out Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child.  It's a radio show out of Northampton, Mass. hosted by law professor and his daughter.  It's all kid appropriate though not all kids music.  You get it via podcast in iTunes.  We've really been enjoying the opening set from the Sept. 22 episode:

They Might Be Giants - It's Spare the Rock
They Might Be Giants - Robot Parade (No!)
Jellydots - Sad Robot (pre-release)
Hypnotic Clambake - 500 Robots (Live)
Recess Rock - Kitty in Central Park
Dennis Caraher - You Can Call Me ABC (Live at VFR)
Keith Munslow - I Can't Get Up This Morning (Accidentally [On Purpose])

Will check it out. We have a children's CD by They Might Be Giants that is pretty entertaining. A couple of other good children's albums we enjoy are by Dan Zanes and Jack Johnson.

Johnson's soundtrack to Curious George is one of our favorites.

Other Moore kid CD favorites include : "Sing Along with Putumayo" and "For the Kid's Too!"Does anyone out there have a favorite CD that has contemporary worship songs (preferrable the popular ones sung in acappella churches)?I feel like we have done a great job exposing our kids to cool music, but what about praise music? They learn lyrics so quickly....it would be nice if our kids new the words to praise music like they do They Might Be Giants music!
