Our Family

Turns out Finn's goal-scoring, assist making spree in his 2nd soccer game wasn't a fluke. Grandma and Grandpa B, Aunt Robin, Lisa, Elliot, and I got to watch him put on another show Saturday morning. Here's a few photos and videos. Unfortunately, they tend to be a little blurry. Finn is pretty cute...especially the second video where he scores a goal and then skips down the field while waving to the crowd. Also, I need to learn to keep my mouth shut when recording these videos. I sound so lame yelling "Run!", "Pass it!", etc.

Finn's second soccer game was on Saturday. Elliot and I missed it because we were at the little league opening ceremony at the Dow Diamond. It's too bad we missed it, because he scored 3 goals and had two assists. He would have had a fourth goal, but a teammate stole the ball from him. His first game didn't give us a hint that he'd be such a goal-scorer. Apparently, once he got a taste for goal-scoring he didn't look back. Later in the afternoon, Elliot had his first baseball game of the season. Here are some photos and videos. In the baseball videos, I'm the frumpy guy coaching first.

We spent our last day in Orlando (last Sunday) at the Animal Kingdom. Lisa and Finn's favorite was the Festival of the Lion King. Elliot's favorite was probably the Kali River Rapids. We tried to ride the Expedition Everest roller coaster, but it kept shutting down. After Sunday spent at the Animal Kingdom, we flew back to Michigan on Monday. We spent last Saturday at Epcot. We met Alma, Vlad, and Anthony there. We know Alma from when we were back in Knoxville and our small group sponsored her family when they came to the US as refugees. Elliot really enjoyed the Test Track ride. We had dinner in the Mexican section of Epcot (that's the blurry photo below with a volcano in the background).. Last Friday we went to MGM. We had breakfast with Little Einsteins, took photos with characters from Toys, Cars, etc., watched some stunt performances, and so forth. The boys liked the stunt show (Lights, Motors, Action!) the best. Here are some photos and a video:
