Our Family

Twice today Finn hopped onto his tricylce and road off down the sidewalk...getting quite far away before anybody noticed that he was gone. The second time he was already on the other side of the block before he was tracked down by the miscellaneous neighbors who scattered in search of him when they heard Lisa calling his name.

I was telling Lisa that I overheard Elliot talking to his friend Fitzhugh (who is visiting his grandparents who live next door to us):

Elliot: "My mom told me that the Easter Bunny isn't real." Fitzhugh: "But she's wrong, right?!?" Elliot: "Right."

Lisa responded, "I did go to the store and picked up some presents for you for Easter." Finn chimed in, "Did the Easter Bunny go shopping with you?"

We got a dusting of snow today. Also, Finn had allergy tests at the doctor. It looks like dust and dust mites (and cats) are an issue.

Last night we got together with a bunch of our Knoxville friends...Greg, Carol, Cade, and Cian...David, Jenn, Alex, Abbey, and Ben...Jim, Kelly, Caroline, and Joe...Dave, Ellen, Anna, and Owen...Muriel (Gary couldn't make it)...Danny, Phyllis, and Will.

On our way from Nashville to Knoxville, we spent last night and this morning in Cookeville. We went swimming at the hotel pool. Within a few seconds of each other, both Elliot and Finn got in water over their heads, so Lisa had to come to the rescue while Jonathan was taking pictures. Later we went over to Lisa's cousin Emily's house. We saw Emily, her husband Josh, and their 10-month-old daughter Lucy. Wayne, Judy, and Nancy also came over. After we had pizza, we then stopped by the house of Jonathan's friend Don and his wife Tracy and their two kids Mary and Matthew. They gave us a tour of their new house. It was late by little-kid standards, so we didn't stay long. This morning we stopped in to see Lisa's Aunt May before heading to Knoxville.
